How to Secure A Rotary Local Grant

At Rotary LOCAL, we believe that educators know best when it comes to meeting the needs of their students. That’s why we provide grants and hands-on support to schools and educational organizations in Tucson, helping bring creative and impactful projects to life. Whether it’s funding classroom resources, enhancing learning spaces, or supporting hands-on educational initiatives, our goal is to empower teachers with the tools they need to create lasting change.

To ensure that our resources have the greatest impact, we have outlined key guidelines for submitting a grant proposal. Please review the criteria carefully before applying, and let us know how we can support your vision for a stronger, more engaged learning community.

Guidelines

  • Grant proposal must be submitted by the educator, not a student.

  • Any grant proposal must directly benefit the students.

  • Grants of up to $600 per request and $3,600 to any one school.

  • Rincon Rotary does not give cash grants and our members will fulfill the grants and deliver them to your classroom using local small businesses whenever possible.

  • Grants are intended for sustainable items that can be used for more than one classroom or multiple school years.

  • You may request a subscription however Rincon Rotary will not commit to fund the subscription on a continuing basis.

  • Priority will be given to Title 1 schools.

  • Applications are accepted August 1 through March 31st of each year.

  • Provide links to the specific items you are requesting in your application, when possible.

Things We Do Not Fund:

  • We generally don’t provide consumables.

  • We don’t supply PC’s, laptops or Chromebook’s.

  • Student trips. Field trips

  • Professional development and conference attendance for educators.

Rincon Rotary’s Vision

The Vision of the Rotary Club of Rincon (Tucson) is to promote scholarship and citizenship as a committed friend of education; to direct and manage programs that involve youth, adults, families, seniors and those with disabilities; to provide assistance in skills training and on-the-job experience working with the Pima County JTED; and to involve all of our members in one or more of our variety of projects while striving to meet the Rotary International motto of Service above Self.

Rotary Four-Way Test

In general, the Rotary Four-Way Test is a good baseline for our values. If your proposal, and your values, are aligned with our Four Way Test, that is always a bonus.
